Frosty’s Skinny Cranberry Paloma

Does anyone else sometimes feel like they might bust a seam in their pants during the holidays? I definitely know I do! Sometimes you want comfort, but without the feeling of being weighted down. Day 10 of 12 Days of Christmas Cocktails gives you a lighter drink for the holidays with the Frosty’s Kind Cranberry Paloma! Rather than using the grapefruit juice or grapefruit soda I have opted for Fever Tree Grapefruit Tonic Water which is only 30 calories for the whole bottle. This might be a lighter calorie drink, but it is not lacking in flavor. With a concentrated flavor coming from the cranberry rosemary syrup and reposado tequila anyone who loves tequila would enjoy this drink! Please enjoy!

10 Fresh Cranberries

0.5oz Cranberry Rosemary Syrup

0.25oz Cointreau

1oz Lime Juice

2oz El Jimador Reposado Tequila

3oz Fever Tree Grapefruit Tonic Water

Garnish: Dried Orange Slice and Rosemary Sprig

Muddle the cranberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and pour in syrup, Cointreau, lime juice, and tequila. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Fill a tumbler glass with ice and strain mixture into the glass. Top off glass with the tonic water and garnish with the dried orange slice and rosemary. Serve and enjoy!

Notes: If you want to impress someone you can up your tequila game. The better quality tequila the less sugar you need. I Enjoy El Jimador for everyday tequila, but for more special occasions I love Herradura. I would stay away from anything more expensive than this because to me that would be a waist of money. You invest in a $50+ so you don’t have to mix it, but that is just me. Nothing wrong with being generous with your stash! You can find candied orange slices at Trader Joes for an easy and affordable garnish.

Side note! I’m also very fond of Herradura because the Master Distiller, Maria Teresa Lara, was the first female master distiller in Mexico! Girl Power!
