IRON MAIDEN

I love spicy food and I know I am not alone on this! I will specify though that I am not talking about the kind of spicy that will melt your insides and is so hot there is no other flavor. So, no, I do not eat ghost peppers for fun lol. I do however love the combination of sweet and spicy! The Iron Maiden is sure to satisfy any sweet and spicy tooth out there! I hope you enjoy!

-Handfull Fresh Blueberries

-1oz Habanero Simple Syrup

-1oz Titos Vodka

-0.5oz Prohibition Spirits Limoncello

-0.5oz St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur

-1oz Lemon Juice

Place blueberries in a cocktail shaker and use a muddler to gently muddle them. Fill will ice and pour in the Habanero Simple Syrup, Vodka, Limoncello, Elderflower Liqueur, and Lemon Juice. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and then pour through a fine mesh strainer in to a coup glass. Take a lemon peel and garnish before serving. Enjoy!

Notes: As always the brands of spirits I use are simply my preference or items I enjoy. You may use any brand and achieve a similar outcome. The habanero simple syrup is very spicy! If you read my recipe for the simple syrup I give ways to tone it down if you are sensitive. You can easily make this a lighter drinking by switching from a coup glass to a high ball glass, fill it with ice, and after straining the mixture in top with sparkling water.
